This policy explains how Appgear Atelier Sdn Bhd (Reg. No. 202101018437 (1417382-P)), operator of appgear.pro, handles personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
1. Data we collect
We only collect what a tailoring house genuinely needs:
- Enquiry details — name, email address, optional mobile number and the message you send through our contact form, telephone or WhatsApp.
- Client records — body measurements, posture notes, fit preferences, fabric selections and order history, created once you commission a garment.
- Technical data — limited cookie data as described in our Cookie Policy.
We do not collect payment card details through this website; payments are settled at the atelier or by bank transfer.
2. Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and schedule appointments.
- To draft your pattern, produce your garments and provide after-care such as adjustments.
- To keep your measurements on file so repeat orders are faster and more accurate.
- To meet accounting and tax record-keeping duties under Malaysian law.
We do not send marketing messages unless you explicitly ask to hear about fabric arrivals or seasonal openings, and you may withdraw that request at any time.
3. Sharing
Your data is not sold, rented or traded. It is disclosed only to: our courier partners (name, delivery address and phone number, solely to deliver garments); our accountants and professional advisers under duties of confidentiality; and authorities where the law requires it.
4. Retention
Enquiries that do not become commissions are deleted within twelve months. Client measurement records are retained while you remain a client and for seven years after your last order, matching our alteration guarantee and statutory record-keeping periods, unless you ask us to erase them earlier.
5. Security
Records are stored on access-controlled systems; paper measurement cards are kept locked at the atelier. Access is limited to staff who need it to serve you.
6. Your rights
